Keid is built around a local-first productivity loop: goals, next steps, habits, focus, completion, and reflection. This policy explains what data Keid collects, where it is stored, and how you can control it.

Information We Collect

• Account information, such as email address, sign-in provider, and account identifiers when you create or sign in to an account.
• Product content you choose to create, including goals, tasks, habits, reflections, focus sessions, completion history, progress data, streaks, reports, and habit logs.
• Support messages, feedback, account deletion requests, and any information you include when contacting us.
• Analytics, crash diagnostics, device, app version, and error data used to understand reliability and improve Keid.

Local-First Guest Data

You can use Keid as a guest. Guest data is stored on your device first and is not treated as disposable by default. If you delete the app, clear local data, or lose the device before creating an account or backup, that local data may be lost.

Account Sync and Cloud Backup

If you create or sign in to an account, Keid may sync your goals, tasks, habits, reflections, focus sessions, progress history, settings, and related metadata to our cloud systems so your data can be backed up and available across signed-in devices.

Email Communications

Keid may send account and security emails related to sign-in, password reset, account deletion, support, or other requested account actions. Optional product emails, such as email reminders, weekly reports, streak rescue prompts, or product updates, are controlled by your email preferences. Product updates are off unless you explicitly opt in.

Optional product emails include preference and unsubscribe links. Account and security emails may still be sent when needed to operate or protect your account.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide, operate, sync, back up, and maintain Keid.
• Show truthful progress, streaks, reports, reminders, and reflection history inside the app.
• Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
• Improve product quality, diagnose crashes, and understand reliability.
• Protect the service, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Third-Party Providers

We use third-party providers for services such as authentication, cloud storage and sync, analytics, crash diagnostics, hosting, and email delivery. These providers process data only as needed to provide those services to Keid.

Keid uses PostHog Cloud EU for optional product analytics. These analytics help us understand onboarding drop-offs, feature usage, Focus actions, task and habit completion metadata, auth/account flow metadata, app/device metadata, and product flows that are confusing or broken.

Keid does not send goal titles, task titles, habit titles, notes, reflections, success definitions, feedback body, emails, or full names as analytics content. Usage analytics can be disabled in Profile → Privacy. Crash reports remain separate and are handled through Sentry where enabled.

Data Retention and Account Deletion

You can request account deletion in the app or by emailing deletion@keid.ai. Account deletion removes or de-identifies account data and synced product data, subject to backups, security logs, legal obligations, and records we must keep to process the request. Guest local data can be cleared from the app on the device where it is stored.

Your Choices

• Use Keid locally as a guest or create an account for sync and backup.
• Enable or disable privacy-safe usage analytics in Profile → Privacy.
• Change optional email preferences or unsubscribe from all optional product emails.
• Request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal data where applicable.

Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect data in transit and at rest, but no method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.
